Whether you’re looking for a light midday lunch or a simple dinner with friends, Dallas salads at State & Allen are always a good choice! Here are a few of our salad menu favorites:

The Original Silver Bowl Salad

We’ll start off with our most popular salad! This is the one that guests rave about, and it’s easy to see why. This filling salad is loaded with chopped romaine, red bell peppers, orange slices, grapes, bacon bits, and chicken, topped in Balsamic Vinaigrette and Caesar dressings.

Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna Salad

Looking for something different? This salad boasts an Asian flare with seared rare Ahi tuna, cucumbers, jicama, radish, and carrots, over a bed of Napa cabbage, then drizzled in miso peanut vinaigrette. It’s tangy and fresh, with the perfect balance of flavors.

Warm Spinach & Chicken Paillard Salad

Purple hull peas are one of our favorite summertime vegetables and we love how they meld seamlessly into this warm summer salad. Wild mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, red bell peppers, pine nuts, goat cheese, olive oil, and Balsamic dressing finish off this delicious salad.

Mediterranean Salad

A simple salad that many of our customers order on the regular, the Mediterranean salad is classic and delicious. You’ll love the warm pita and hummus served alongside a crisp salad loaded in olives, red peppers, artichokes, and more.

Any of our salads at State & Allen Kitchen + Bar can be customized to your liking, including adding your choice of protein. Avocado, chicken, shrimp, and Portobello mushroom are all available for order on your Dallas salad

State & Allen is proud to announce we’ve got another baby sister… Maple Landing is here!

maple landing dallas texas new restaurant 2019

What is Maple Landing?

Maple Landing is a brand new restaurant in the Love Field area, specializing in gourmet burgers, brisket, beer, bourbon, and everything in between. Founded by Jonathan Calabrese and Rhett Dukes (the same founders of State & Allen Kitchen + Bar), you can expect the same quality and scratch kitchen gourmet cooking that you’ve come to love here at State & Allen.

What’s on the Menu at Maple Landing?

Maple Landing specializes in burgers and brisket, but this isn’t your typical burger joint. Burgers include Dallas specialty burgers like the Kimchi Burger with Gochujang Spiced Mayo, the Chili Cheese Burger with brisket chili and pickled jalapenos, and the Sunrise Burger with bacon, egg, and cheese. And on the brisket side, you’ll find brisket prepared lots of ways. We love the Pastrami Brisket Sandwich, loaded with kraut, Maple Landing mustard, Swiss cheese, and more. Want something more traditional? You can always order sliced brisket and sausage, and there is nothing the matter with that.

In addition to burgers and brisket, Maple Landing also specializes in some pretty killer salads and serves wonderful appetizers and sides to accompany your meal.

What about Dallas Drink Specials?

Maple Landing is your place for Dallas Happy Hour specials! Get a great deal on your favorite bourbon, wells, craft beers, wine, and more. Ask your server for details and current specials. Happy hour is from 4-7pm Monday-Friday, and all day Saturday & Sunday.

Grand Opening: Maple Landing in Dallas, Texas!

Maple Landing is now open and we hope you’ll help us welcome our new sister restaurant! Conveniently located near Love Field, it’s the perfect stop before taking off on a flight or for grabbing a quick lunch during your lunch break.

Why Are Napa Valley Wines so Special? – State & Allen

State & Allen

The Napa Valley in California has long been regarded one of the best places to get great wine, particularly in the United States. And here at State & Allen Kitchen + Bar in Dallas, Texas, we stock many delicious wines from the region. But why are wines from the Napa Valley so special? What sets them apart from other regions of the world?

State & Allen did a little investigating and here’s what we found out:

Unique Soil Combination

The soil in the Napa Valley is unprecedented in its variations, with most other wine regions around the world lucky to even have a fraction of the fertile soil that Napa does. At just 30 miles long and 4 miles wide at its largest point, the Valley is made up of varying topography, including the collision of two mountain ranges, volcanic soil from California earthquakes, varying sea levels that wash sediments in and out, and even wooded areas. These changes in topography are what make the soil uniquely suited to grow grapes of varying kinds – and do it well. There is no other wine region in the world with so many topography nuances to add flavor and depth to the wine.

Perfect Climate

At the bottom of the Napa Valley, you’ll find the San Pablo Bay, and wine loves can thank this marine inlet for creating the perfect climate for grapes of all varieties. Napa is traditionally warm and growers worry about the grapes overheating, but it’s the winds of the San Pablo Bay that rush up from the south and will cool down the grapes so they can mature slowly.

Ready to grab a glass of Napa wine? State & Allen located in Uptown Dallas, Texas has a vast menu of red and white wine available by the glass – or by the bottle. All of our wines are carefully curated so you really can’t go wrong, and many of our selected wines are from the Napa Valley. And don’t forget about Wine Down Wednesdays, where we have the best wine specials in Dallas!
