Monday – Half Priced Pizza


Gourmet, made-from-scratch pizza at half the price – that’s what Mondays are all about! This lunch deal actually happens to extend all day, meaning you can enjoy our great selection of pizza all day long – and get it half price! Delicious choices like Wild Mushroom, Texas Supreme, Meaty Meat, and Margherita will make your mouth water. 


Tuesday – Chef’s Special: $8.95


The Tuesday chef’s special is where it’s at! This is many of our regulars’ favorite day of the week because they get to enjoy amazing chef fare at a fraction of the price. You never know what it’s going to be, but you know it will be good!


Wednesday – Shrimp Fettuccine with Fresno Cream Sauce: $8.95

Starters: Crispy Pork Belly Tostadas


A delicious way to start your meal, the crispy pork belly tostadas are topped with southwestern kimchi, peach chipotle jam, crema, and of course, tender slices of pork belly. You’ll love how the spices complement the meat and lend just a touch of heat.


Salad: Heirloom Tomato & Pasta Salad


Summer and pasta salads go hand-in-hand, and State & Allen’s new menu has one that is so filling it really could be an entrée. We start with a six-cheese pasta sacchettini and layer on capicola, walnuts, blue cheese, grilled corn, and finish with a drizzle of chervil-peppercorn vinegarette. So good, it’s like a summertime picnic in your mouth.


Entrée: Grilled Jerk Redfish


State & Allen is known for our impeccable meats, and this redfish is summery, light, and absolutely delicious! The grapefruit salsa verde on top is the perfect pairing for the fish and it’s served with sautéed broccolini and roasted sweet potatoes.

·      January 14 at 6pm: St. Arnold Boiler Room Bonanza

o   Have you tried St. Arnold’s Boiler Room? If not, this is your night to try it! Boiler Point is different from your usual craft beer in that it’s a sour wheat beer. It’s got that sweet and sour balance – thanks to a sweet malt that melts into a tangy aftertaste – almost like the balance you get from a lemonade. State & Allen Kitchen + Bar is your Uptown stop for fabulous drink specials, great food, and a lively atmosphere. When you come in between 3-7pm, Monday-Friday, you’ll get deals like:

·      $3 Domestics: Budweiser, Miller Lite, Coors, etc.

·      $4 House Wines: We’ve got a great selection of house reds, whites, etc. that are perfect for any palette.

·      $3 Texas Trinity: We call it the Texas Trinity because you can get any drink mixed with Nue Vodka, Henderson Whiskey, or Dulce Vida Tequila for just $3.

If you haven’t tried our Texas Trinity spirits, it’s time you gave them a try!

Henderson Whiskey is a smooth whiskey crafted right here in Dallas, Texas. It needs no accompaniment and really is best ordered neat.  Dulce Vida Tequila is lauded as the Most Awarded Tequila. The Green Restaurant Association uses metrics like disposables, energy, waste, water, building materials, and pollution reduction to decide how a restaurant will be scored. State & Allen Kitchen + Bar received a total score of 114.99 GreenPoints and implemented 45 Environmental Green Steps, earning them the prestigious 2-star award. In fact, the score exceeded the minimum requirements to get this award by nearly 15%!

No doubt, women make a huge contribution to society, let alone the restaurant industry! The month of March is Women’s History Month, a month when we celebrate and pay tribute to the countless women who have made this nation – and this state – great!

For the restaurant industry specifically, women make an invaluable contribution.

Countless women hold roles as restaurant owners, chefs, wait staff, hostesses, etc. In fact, over HALF of the restaurants in America are owned or co-owned by a woman! Boil that down to a state level: with 41,000+ restaurants in the state of Texas – supporting 1.2 million jobs and accounting for 10% of the state’s employment –it’s safe to say that women are pretty valuable to the overall balance and infrastructure of the restaurant industry!

State and Allen is proud to have many amazing women on staff, and one such woman is Eleanor Moore.

With over thirty years of experience in the restaurant industry, Eleanor recently joined us as the Controller for State & Allen Kitchen + Bar, Savoring Catering, and Calabrese & Winkler Holdings, LLC.

She began her career as a waitress early in her adult life, working her way up to hostess, and then short order cook. In 1980, she was offered an office position and jumped at the opportunity to learn the inner-workings of how a restaurant was run. She loved learning new things and seeing the corporate side of the restaurant business. She stayed with that company for 33 years, developing business savvy and hands-on experience into how a restaurant functions on the business side of things.

State & Allen is proud to have a woman with such experience and knowledge of the restaurant industry leading the charge!

Talent Behind the Food - New Executive Chef at State & Allen

At State & Allen, we pride ourselves on being the best. Best patio. Best atmosphere. Best drink specials. Best restaurant and bar in Uptown Dallas. And best chef calling the shots on our menu and culinary offerings.

We are proud to announce that Rhett Dukes – formerly our Chef de Cuisine – has now been promoted to Executive Chef at State & Allen Kitchen + Bar!

Rhett Dukes has been with State & Allen's Dallas restaurant for quite some time, starting with State & Allen as a sous chef. Immediately, we recognized the tremendous talent that Rhett brought to the table, his passion for plating delicious and beautiful food, and his industry knowledge.

Rhett’s skill and expertise has been garnered over time, with each stop along his career path giving him a new perspective on culinary excellence. His career began in Houston, where he worked within several different restaurants, and then he was lead to Chicago to get a whole new perspective on food. In Chicago, he was promoted to Executive Chef Partner before returning to Texas, and ultimately, State & Allen Kitchen + Bar.

Not only is Rhett great with food, but we love that he’s cool as a cucumber, even under pressure! No job’s too big. No task too daunting. Rhett’s ability to think on his feet and handle difficult situations with ease are what set him apart and make him a true leader. We are proud to have Rhett leading the charge and can’t wait to see what he does as Executive Chef!

One of his first tasks has been to revamp our menu and give it a little more panache. Don’t worry – all your favorites are still there! – but Rhett has done an excellent job of infusing new flavors, ingredients, and stylings into our menu offerings. If you haven’t been to State & Allen Kitchen + Bar in awhile, it’s time to come in and give our new menu a try! Lots of new bistro menu options, along with appetizers, soups, salads, pizza, burgers, and more! We may be a little partial, but we think it’s the best food in Dallas!
