Sweet & Savory: State & Allen Brings You the Best Dallas Brunch

State & Allen

Brunch just might be our favorite meal of the day.

That’s why, at State & Allen Kitchen + Bar, we take great care to provide a brunch menu that is delicious, with lots of scratch kitchen favorites and new options to keep it fresh.

We change the menu often, but one thing is for certain, we keep a balance of sweet and savory breakfast options to suit whatever mood you might be in. Before heading out the door to find the best brunch in Dallas, consider giving one of these delicious sweet or savory brunch options a try:

Sweet

Brioche French Toast

Fresh brioche bread is turned into a breakfast delicacy, then smothered in Texas Whiskey Spiced Syrup and a dollop of homemade whipped cream. Served with a side of fresh fruit, it offers up just the right amount of sweet that is easily cut by a cut of coffee and a Bloody Mary.

Waffle Christo

It’s exactly what it sounds like: a Monte Christo sandwich gone rogue for brunch! We stuff a waffle with ham and pepper jack, deep fry it in a tempura batter, then for just the right amount of sweet, you get to dip it in either Texas Whiskey Spiced Syrup or Raspberry Jam! It’s an absolutely delicious way to start your day.

Savory

Eggs in a Basket

Simple and satisfying, you’ll get two eggs cooked into your toast, served with bacon and our famous purple potato bacon’d hash on the side. Pair it with a mimosa, screwdriver, or trip to the Bloody Mary Bar, and you’re set!

The Giant

Bring your appetite if you order The Giant, because as the name implies, it’s a ton of food! You’ll receive two free range eggs cooked just as you like them, along with our fluffy biscuits and homemade gravy, and of course, bacon, and purple potato bacon’d hash on the side. A southern brunch doesn’t get much better than this.

So what are you in the mood for: sweet or savory? Either way, come by State & Allen Kitchen + Bar this next weekend for the best brunch in Uptown Dallas!

What’s New on the State & Allen Brunch Menu?

State & Allen

State & Allen’s weekend brunch is an Uptown Dallas hotspot, and it’s easy to understand why.

Folks love sleeping in, then stopping by for brunch and drinks on the patio. It’s a great chance to catch up on the week with friends – and feel free to bring your four-legged pals too because our patio is dog friendly!

The State & Allen Brunch has been a Dallas favorite for some time now, but it doesn’t mean we let the menu get stale! Recently we added some delicious new Dallas brunch offerings that are sure to impress:

Pulled Pork Migas

If it’s TexMex you crave – all day, everyday – then take a chance on our delicious migas! Avocado, black beans, corn pico, queso fresco, crema, and tomatillo sauce and carefully folded in with eggs and tortilla chips for a south-of-the-border treat. Pair it with a mimosa, and you’re all set!

Sweet Potato Pancakes

A heartier – and healthier – version of the original favorite, our sweet potato pancakes are drizzled in fresh agave maple syrup and a dollop of Greek yogurt cream cheese. Apple chicken sausage is served on the side for the perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Breakfast Pizza

We’re a fan of pizza for breakfast – even if it’s just cold leftovers from the fridge – but this version tops cold pizza any day. Topped with ham, bacon, mozzarella, cheddar, corn pico, avocado, and eggs, it’s the perfect pizza for breakfast.

Don’t forget to order a House Bloody Mary, Mimosa, Screwdriver, or Greyhound for just $3 each to accompany your meal! Bloody Mary Bar is just $5 and lets you create your own with an array of delicious toppings.

Come on in to State & Allen this weekend and enjoy the best brunch in Uptown Dallas! Brunch is served from 10am – 3pm each Saturday and Sunday, and we can’t wait to see you then!

WE LOVE DOGS!

State & Allen recognizes that more and more of our patrons are on specialty diets. We are frequently asked for gluten free menu options, and the answers is, “Yes, we have them!” Just ask your server. We also offer gluten free pizza crust for pizza lovers everywhere. P.S. it’s pretty darn tasty too.

Bloody Mary's - DIY Style!

State & Allen

The Bloody Mary has gone viral recently, and unfortunately it’s not one of ours:

Chicken Fried Bloody Beast at Sobelman's Pub & Grill in Milwaukee

Chicken Fried Bloody Beast at Sobelman's Pub & Grill in Milwaukee

Notice anything peculiar about this Bloody Mary? Oh yeah…it’s got a GIANT FRIED CHICKEN IN IT!

Sobelman’s Pub & Grill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been making headlines for creating this beast of a beverage, loving known as the Chicken Fried Bloody Beast. No simple celery stalk would do for this bloody. When you order the beast, your drink comes complete with celery, pickles, olives, onions, mushrooms, asparagus, lemon, sausage, shrimp, cheese, the pub’s signature bacon-wrapped jalapeno cheeseballs, and of course one huge fried chicken. And if that seems too decadent for your tastes, then you can order a cheeseburger on top instead.

Think a Bloody Mary loaded with goodies sounds pretty grand?

Well you’re in luck because we’ve got this really cool new thing at State & Allen Kitchen + Bar in Dallas, and we can’t wait for you to come on out and try it!

What is it you ask?! Drum roll please….

A Bloody Mary Bar!

That’s right. As if our brunches weren’t already fun enough, we thought we’d up the ante and bring you the one and only Bloody Mary Bar in Uptown!

While we won’t be offering giant, golden fried chickens as an option, we have plenty of goodies to help you create the perfect Bloody Mary for your tastes. Extra spicy, olives or no olives, cucumbers vs. carrots, the possibilities are endless.

So this Saturday or Sunday, after you’ve slept off the work week, grab a few friends and join us at State & Allen Kitchen + Bar in Uptown for brunch. You’ll enjoy a delicious meal, an amazing drink menu, and of course our do-it-yourself Bloody Mary Bar. Just don’t expect any whole fried chickens or cheeseburgers. We promise you won’t see any.
