Why Does State & Allen Serve Free Range Eggs?

State & Allen

If you join us at State & Allen for our weekend brunch in Dallas, you’ll notice that our menu specifically states that all of our eggs are free range. Some might wonder why this matters, because, an egg is an egg right?

At State & Allen we believe in clean eating and producing the freshest, highest quality meals around. Our meals are prepared fresh in our scratch kitchen, with simple cooking methods that let the natural flavors shine through. In our efforts to select the best quality foods for our customers, we’ve chosen free range eggs, and here are a few reasons why:

1.  Higher Nutritional Content

While all eggs are considered complete proteins and are abundant in vitamins and minerals, free range eggs have even higher quantities of nutrients than their conventional counterparts. This is because what goes into the chicken matters. And if a chicken is happy and able to go out and roam, selecting its own food in the process, it produces better quality eggs.  Studies have shown free range eggs to have more Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin D and other nutrients than conventional eggs.

2.  Less Saturated Fat & Cholesterol

One recent study shows that free range eggs contain 1/3 less cholesterol and ¼ less saturated fat than conventional eggs! While cholesterol levels in eggs shouldn’t be alarming, it’s always nice to know that you can get a healthier, more nutrient egg with less of the stuff you don’t want.

3.  More Omega-3s

Omega-3 fatty acids are important to our body because our body needs them for heart health and so much more, but we can’t produce them ourselves. Studies show Omega-3s to be 2-4 times higher in free range eggs.

Join us for Dallas brunch this weekend at State & Allen, where you’ll be served nothing but the best: free range eggs!
