A Little About Goose Island Beers

Goose Island Beer Company’s motto is “we don’t need to be the only beer you drink, we just want to be the best beer you drink.” In the late 1980s, founder John Hall tinkered with the idea of opening a craft brewery in the United States after traveling through Europe on business. He loved all of the amazing local beers he tried and wished there was something similar back at home. In 1988, he finally took the plunge, leaving his 20+ year career in corporate America to start his own boutique beer company in Chicago. State-of-the-art facilities and a revolutionary barreling process, set them apart.  Pioneering the art of using bourbon barrels for aging and then experimenting with wine barrels, the flavors and distinctiveness of Goose Island beers are unparalleled. Today, Goose Island Beers are distributed throughout all 50 states and in the United Kingdom.
